The Stradivarius SQ
The Stradivarius String Quartet is one of the finest Classical ensembles in Texas, featuring outstanding violinists, violist and cellist. They have an impeccable resume and are always updating their repertoire. DLE is proud to offer them to our Dallas-Fort Worth-area corporate, private party and wedding clients. The Quartet is available anywhere in Texas and out of state, as well. The following tracks are short but will still give (the listener) a good idea of the Ensemble's high quality sound.

LA Strings
DLE is honored to have our newest Texas Classical ensemble, LA Strings, grace our Classical page. LA Strings' leader has performed with The Austin Symphony, The Austin Lyric Opera and The Austin Ballet Orchestra. He is an outstanding trumpet player as you will hear on many of their tracks featured here. The string members of the ensemble are equally talented and have performed as a unit for years. The key to this ensemble is "quality" and it is clear to DLE that their quality is consistent and of a very high level. Another aspect that is exciting about this ensemble are the many possible combinations they offer--from trumpet and church organ duo, to the String Trio, the trumpet and the String Trio, the trumpet and String Quartet or the String Quartet by itself. All combinations of this ensemble are available in the Austin area and throughout Texas as well as outside the state. Concert pianists, Symphony harpists and Classical guitarists are also available upon request.

The DLE So. Cal. Modern Classical Concert Guitarist
Over the past twenty years, The DLE Southern California Modern Classical Concert Guitarist has taught guitar at two major universities. He studied classical guitar with Pepe Romero and flamenco guitar with Juan Serrano. In addition, he has worked as a studio musician, recording both television and film projects for NBC and Paramount Studios. He has published several best selling "method books" for guitar. As a performer, The DLE Southern California Modern Classical Concert Guitarist crosses the realm between the jazz and classical worlds playing in many different performance situations. He specializes in playing both background music for weddings, dinners, and other social occasions including corporate events as well as formal concert appearances on tour at universities in the United States, Canada and Europe.

The DLE Modern Classical Concert Guitarist
The first guitarist to receive an M.M. from the San Francisco Music Conservatory, The DLE Modern Classical Guitarist made his New York debut at Carnegie Recital Hall in 1984. He has performed major recitals with the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra and the Bay Chamber Symphony, among others, as well as recitals in Los Angeles, San Diego, Toronto, Barcelona and Sydney. He studied with George Sakellariou and was personally chosen by Julian Bream for a 1981 master class. He won prizes at the Carmel Classic Guitar Competition, served on the National Endowment for the Arts Music Advisory Panel and authored a book/CD sequence entitled The Student Repertoire Series (for Guitar), published by GSP, San Francisco. He is also on the faculties of the University of California at Berkeley and City College of San Francisco. The New York Times described his playing as "subtle, intimate and inherently musical," and called him "an excellent musician." The San Francisco Chronicle music critic said, "He has an exceptional style, pure and sweet, rhythmically precise yet supple...playing everything with elegant grace and a notably serious feeling for introspection." The DLE Modern Classical Concert Guitarist is available in Napa, Sonoma, the San Francisco Bay Area, the Monterey Bay area and virtually anywhere in the U.S.

The DLE Bay Area Flamenco Guitarist
The DLE Bay Area Flamenco Guitarist is one of the premier flamenco guitarists to come from the San Francisco Bay Area, both as an accompanist for flamenco song and dance and as a soloist. He has performed with such world class flamenco artists as La Tania, Andrés Marín, Cristo Cortés, and Manuel Gutierrez, as well as with many local artists and companies. While in Italy, he performed with two of the country's top dancers, Juana Cala, and Maria Jose Soto Leon in venues from Venice to Milan to Sicily. While his playing style remains grounded in the roots of the traditional Spanish flamenco, he also explores new directions in musical composition as well as blending of elements from the various musical traditions around which he grew up in San Francisco--Indian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and African. He has performed in San Francisco's top event sites as well as venues in China and India. He also directed the music for "Zambra Bailar," a company mixing flamenco with Middle Eastern music and belly dance. The DLE Bay Area Flamenco Guitarist has studied for years in Spain with several flamenco guitar masters, including Manolo Sanlucar, Paco Peña and Jose Luis Rodriguez. He has also studied Indian Classical music under Ustad Ali Akbar Khan and Ghanain drumming with C.K. Ladezkpo. He has a B.A. in Music from U.C. Berkeley. The DLE Bay Area Flamenco Guitarist is available for wedding ceremonies and receptions, private parties and corporate events. His local area includes the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, Napa and Monterey.
